Is this a real app or just a video mockup?
It is 100% real. The videos on this page are actual screen recordings of the working database. Tom built the core ledger and the Merch POS from scratch over the last six weeks. We are running this pre-sale to fund the final weeks of development needed to migrate the app to a secure, multi-user architecture.When do I actually get to log in and use Band Math?
The official launch is scheduled for May 2026. The second our production servers go live, you will receive a VIP onboarding email to set up your band's workspace. You will be the very first people inside the gates.
Why are you selling Lifetime Passes? Why not just charge a monthly fee?
Band Math is an independent project. We do not have venture capital investors telling us what to do, and we want to keep it that way. By offering 100 Lifetime Passes at €100, we can raise the exact amount of cash needed to pay for our initial server costs and launch the app on our own terms. Once the 100 spots are gone, the Merch Tier will switch to a standard €20/month subscription.What if something goes wrong and the app does not launch?
Tom is a solo developer putting his real name and face on this project. If for any catastrophic reason the multi-user launch fails and we cannot deliver the product, every single Bootstrapper's Club member will receive a full refund via Stripe.I don't sell merch yet. Can I still use Band Math?

Hi, I'm Tom. I'm a solo developer and a musician. I built BandMath because I was the frustrated frontman trying to manage my band's finances. Like most garage bands we were mostly tracking small expenses like studio rent and beer runs. But with everyone paying out of pocket for stuff and without a bank account I knew there had to be a way to track our shared expenses that didn't have us constantly settling up. I am building the tool I need to help my band grow. And apparently I'm so passionate about this crazy project that I am ready to make it my full time job. By joining the Bootstrapper's Club you are funding an independent tool built by a fellow musician. I'm committed to 2 things: building a robust tool that grows with bands from the garage to the stadium, and keeping this a small, independent business. Project Status and Delivery: Band Math is currently under active development. Our goal is to open access to Bootstrappers Club members by early May 2026. However, as a solo developer, I prioritize stability over strict deadlines. Delivery may extend into the summer of 2026 to ensure the tool is thoroughly tested and ready for your band.Transparency and Updates: We believe in building in public. By backing this project, you will be added to our Substack newsletter. We commit to providing regular, honest updates about our coding progress, roadblocks, and launch timelines so you always know exactly where the project stands.Refund Policy: Your Bootstrappers Club payment directly funds the immediate, active development of Band Math. Because of this early stage support model, pre-sale purchases are final and non-refundable unless the Band Math project is officially and permanently canceled prior to launch.

1. The Short Version: We are building a tool to help musicians manage their money. To do that, we need to collect a very small amount of your personal data. We only collect what we absolutely need to process your Bootstrappers Club payment, keep you updated on our progress, and eventually grant you access to the software.
