SEE THE GEAR IN ACTION
Most accounting apps are built for people who sit in ergonomic chairs. Band Math is built for the person squinting at a screen in a dark club while the headliner is soundchecking. Here's a walkthrough of everything that BandMath actually does.
This is the actual UI. No bloated features, no hidden menus.
Just BandMath.
Band Math is in its final weeks of development. We are raising our initial launch funds directly from the community, not investors. For a one-time payment of €100, you get lifetime access to The Merch Manager POS and Inventory system. No monthly subscriptions. No hidden fees. Ever.We are capping this at the first 100 bands to keep things indie at first. Once we have 100 happy bands we'll open it up to the public.
Is this a real app or just a video mockup?
It is 100% real. The videos on this page are actual screen recordings of the working database. Tom built the core ledger and the Merch POS from scratch over the last six weeks. We are running this pre-sale to fund the final weeks of development needed to migrate the app to a secure, multi-user architecture. When do I actually get to log in and use Band Math?
The official launch is scheduled for May 2026. The second our production servers go live, you will receive a VIP onboarding email to set up your band's workspace. You will be the very first people inside the gates.
Why are you selling Lifetime Passes? Why not just charge a monthly fee?
Band Math is an independent project. We do not have venture capital investors telling us what to do, and we want to keep it that way. By offering 100 Lifetime Passes at €100, we can raise the exact amount of cash needed to pay for our initial server costs and launch the app on our own terms. Once the 100 spots are gone, the Merch Tier will switch to a standard €20/month subscription. What if something goes wrong and the app does not launch?
Tom is a solo developer putting his real name and face on this project. If for any catastrophic reason the multi-user launch fails and we cannot deliver the product, every single Bootstrapper's Club member will receive a full refund via Stripe.I don't sell merch yet. Can I still use Band Math?
Yes! The core expense tracking ledger will always be free. You only need the paid tier when you start tracking physical inventory and calculating venue commissions. If you just want the free ledger, skip the pre-sale and sign up for our mailing list to be notified on launch day.
NOT QUITE READY FOR THE CLUB?
Look, the Bootstrappers Club isn't for everyone. Maybe you're between tours, or maybe you just want to kick tires before you jump in. We get it.You don’t have to be a Founding Member to use Band Math. The core app will always have a free tier for the essential expense and income tracking. Join the mailing list to get notified when we open the general doors, plus the occasional "Road-Tested" tip on how to stop losing money on merch. You can also follow along in real time on Youtube with Tom's dev vlog on the construction of BandMath.
Hi, I'm Tom. I'm a solo developer and a musician. I built BandMath because I was the frustrated frontman trying to manage my band's finances. Like most garage bands we were mostly tracking small expenses like studio rent and beer runs. But with everyone paying out of pocket for stuff and without a bank account I knew there had to be a way to track our shared expenses that didn't have us constantly settling up. I am building the tool I need to help my band grow. And apparently I'm so passionate about this crazy project that I am ready to make it my full time job. By joining the Bootstrapper's Club you are funding an independent tool built by a fellow musician. I'm committed to 2 things: building a robust tool that grows with bands from the garage to the stadium, and keeping this a small, independent business. Stick around and watch my journey from guitar player to entrepreneur unfold.

Project Status and Delivery: Band Math is currently under active development. Our goal is to open access to Bootstrappers Club members by early May 2026. However, as a solo developer, I prioritize stability over strict deadlines. Delivery may extend into the summer of 2026 to ensure the tool is thoroughly tested and ready for your band.Transparency and Updates: We believe in building in public. By backing this project, you will be added to our Substack newsletter. We commit to providing regular, honest updates about our coding progress, roadblocks, and launch timelines so you always know exactly where the project stands.Refund Policy: Your Bootstrappers Club payment directly funds the immediate, active development of Band Math. Because of this early stage support model, pre-sale purchases are final and non-refundable unless the Band Math project is officially and permanently canceled prior to launch.

LIMITED TO 100 FOUNDING MEMBERS
This product is currently in development by your good friend Tom Strike. The core functions of that app are done and now we just have to prep the servers to welcome users. The expense and income tracking features will always be free to our friends in the Garage Band tier so they can get organized. But for the big dogs we have a kick-ass inventory and POS tool that will be available by subscription (€20/mo). But, while Tom finishes last touches, we are selling a limited quantity of 100 lifetime VIP Passes. For €100 you can join the Bootstrapper's club to become a founding member of BandMath. If you like supporting independent music and small business then support us in making Tom's dream of selling a t-shirt and keeping the cash a reality.
